A Case of Wristwatch Ingestion in a 7 Year Old

Abstract

Ingestion of foreign objects is very common in children and must be dealt with caution. Early intervention can be avoided by serial monitoring. The case of ingesting an entire wrist watch are scarce, although smaller button batteries and coins do top the list. Careful assessment and proper decision making to the time of surgery is crucial for appropriate management.
